Pork Insulatard was a porcine NPH/Isophane insulin[2] [3]made by Novo Nordisk.
It is similar to CP Pharma's Hypurin Porcine Isophane[4][5], and to the now-defunct Eli Lilly product Iletin II NPH[6][7][8][9].
Like all other isophane/protamine suspended insulins[10], it is a crystalline suspension with protamine and zinc.
After December, 2007, Novo Nordisk longer offered this insulin in the UK[11][12][13][14]; according to the Novo Nordisk Australasia Home Page [15], it was discontinued there by December, 2006. Those using it now order Hypurin Porcine Isophane from CP Pharma[16].
