Hypurin Porcine Neutral or Hypurin Pork Regular (Canadian brand name) is a pork-based short-acting insulin made by CP Pharma[2].

Eli Lilly's Iletin II R[3][4] was comparable; Novo Nordisk's Pork Actrapid[5][6][7][8] still is sold in Europe, but will be discontinued at the end of December 2007[9].

As with all R/neutral insulins, regardless of species, nothing has been added to alter the speed or action of the insulin[10][11]

Health Canada has approved this insulin, along with another pork product--Hypurin Porcine Isophane, known as Hypurin Pork Isophane or Hypurin Pork NPH in Canada. Both are currently available on the Canadian market without importation[12]. See wiki's CP Pharma page for more information regarding their Canadian availability.
